Jan 15: The after effects of the 26th November 2008 tragedy will be be felt all through the year ahead. Many artists who had planned to make it to Mumbai for concerts, visits have either given Mumbai the royal miss or have just decided to play it safe and visit another city in India. The loser is the aum junta music fans who eagerly wait for their favorite artists to touch Indian soil.

2008 began with the entry of the Gods of Metal Iron Maiden who played two concerts in India at Mumbai and Bangalore and saw the likes of even Bollywood making a date with them. then came curly haired Kenny G for an exclusive concert for a select audience. Trance kings Infected Mushroom came in and went off without much hullaballoo and lastly Zubin Mehta.

We can only hope that the year ahead will bring a few stars down and make our day.
