Movie ‘Crazy Heart’ is based on a 57 year-old alcoholic singer/songwriter who was once a star of country music. He now earns a modest living by singing and playing his guitar at one-night stands, in small town bars, in the southwestern United States. Having a history of failed marriages, The actor is without a family. He is mostly on the road performing, staying in cheap motels and traveling in his old car alone.
’Crazy Heart’ also won Music (Original Song) award in Oscars 2010 for "The Weary Kind (Theme from Crazy Heart)". Music and the lyrics of the song were given by Ryan Bingham and T Bone Burnett. This is the first Academy Award nomination for Ryan Bingham and the second Academy Award nomination for T Bone Burnett.
