One final show in 2019 - and it’s in Mumbai as the band take The Joshua Tree Tour 2019 to India.

The Joshua Tree Tour 2019 kicks off in Auckland on 8 November and will visit Brisbane, Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney and Perth, before moving on to Singapore, Tokyo, Seoul, Manila… and finishing up in Mumbai.

With this in mind, Regenerate & Social present the second edition of ‘Far Out Left’ , a boutique two-day dance music experience that’s to be held on the grounds of the iconic and gorgeous ‘Great Eastern Home’, located in the city of Mumbai, India.
After an unbelievable and eye-opening first year, the festival is back to the incredible and now much revered space that opened it’s doors last year. Aimed to play it’s part in encouraging electronic music inclusivity, the promotion of genre-agnostic sounds and an experience of a city festival.

The Chinese smartphone manufacturer OnePlus is hosting a music festival in India this year.
OnePlus has announced that it will be organising a music concert in Mumbai in November 2019. The upcoming music festival is expected to host several international as well as local music artists. The company teased a short video on YouTube and Twitter announcing the upcoming event.
You can also see a dedicated microsite called "OnePlus Music Festival". This is the first time that the brand is hosting a music festival. The company is expected to announce the names of featuring artists soon on the website.

For our 7th year in the desert, we knew we had to do something really special. From unique commissions to some of dance music’s most exciting and inspiring acts. There’s a lot to get excited about for #MagFields2019. Leading the bill is UK based electronica act; Maribou State. The duo come to Alsisar with a live band – definitely a highlight on the BUDx South Stage which will also host a live show from hotshot producer Ross from Friends, Chennai-based The F16s and newbies Okedo.BUDxYARD as always offers a unique and intimate space to dance the night away with one of the finest selectors in the scene, HAAi, alongside Parisian DJ and producer, Simo Cell, Shama Anwar, and some very very special guests...The Black Madonna will finally also be joining us on the Red Bull North Stage this year. Keeping her company will be Tunisian DJ and producer Deena Abdelwahed, upcoming DJ and promoter Nazira, Gqom pioneer DJ Lag and Mumbai-based Chhabb .The JioSaavn Sundowner will also feature debut performances from acts like Monophonik, Pulpy Shilpy, San Francisco-based sound architect and synthesist, OSE and a special show, Abhi Meer Presents: ‘Spektra’.

ESA PRESENTS: AMANDLA
South African-raised, UK-based DJ and producer Esa joins for an all-night set focussing around the theme of ‘Amandla: Music To The People’. The title inspiration comes from a popular chant during the era of the apartheid, “Amandla, Awethu,” which translates to, “The power is ours.”
It’s also a shared name with his recent Soundway Records compilation which spans electronic music from around the globe.
‘Fieldlines’ is an immersive residency taking place in the week running up to the festival at Alsisar Mahal.
International and Indian sound artists will live and work together, alongside traditional folk musicians from the region. It is the social interaction in Rajasthan, the shared experience of food, architecture, nature and local traditions, which will be felt in the live presentation on stage.

Those of you who have been around from the 1960's through the 1990's will remember the vibrant live music scene in almost every starred hotel in India. Those were the days when you walked into a nightclub like 'Rendezvous' at The Taj Mahal hotel and 'Supper Club' at the Oberoi Sheraton in Mumbai to see curtains going up on a band that was the prime focus of these outlets. Every seat in these restaurants allowed an unobstructed view of the band that performed every night on resident contracts. Today all this has disappeared thanks to some ridiculously high entertainment taxes on live music. Today, non off these hotels have complete bands playing save for a few that feature small duos or solo singers. The Lodhi in New Delhi, recently listed among the world's best hotels, decided to step in and rewind to the good old days. They got Goa's premier jazz quartet 'Jazz Junction' to move to Delhi on a resident contract and the decision has paid off in terms of footfalls generated by the band. Jazz Junction featuring singer Daniella Rodrigues, pianist Tony Dias,
bassist Colin D'Cruz and drummer Angelo Colasco began playing at The Lodhi in June 2018. Four months into the contract the band generated a sizeable following, with quite a few high profile guests choosing to celebrate their special occasion at the Elan bar where the band performs. Against all odds the rewind option proved to be a huge success and hopefully other properties around the country takes the cue to trigger a whole new revival of live music.
